What is the 3RC AI Webinar Series?
In 2025, the 3RsC AI Initiative established a four-part AI webinar series. The goal of this series is for beginners in regulatory science, toxicology, and safety who are new to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to learn foundational concepts, see live demonstrations of tools, and discover practical applications of AI that align with the 3RsC 3Rs goals. Each session will be co-presented by experts (in a conversational format) to provide multiple perspectives and keep the tone accessible and engaging.
Webinar Series: AI 101 From Lab to Laptop
Our first webinar was held on July 16, 2025 titled “AI Basics and LLMs for Regulatory Scientists“. This kickoff session introduces AI from the ground up in clear, jargon-free terms. Co-presenters explain what artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT are, how they work, and why they matter for regulatory science.
