Working as a consultant to 3 Rivers Connect, Bob helps to formulate the technology vision and plays a lead role in the development and implementation of key innovation strategies. His current efforts focus on the overall vision, architectural design and lead implementation of 3rc's DataCloud solution.

Prior to his work at 3rc, Bob lead Cloud Computing engineering efforts at Sun Microsystems in the area of Identity Management including fine-grained, Authorization and Policy Management at cloud scale. As part of an Advanced Development group, Mr. Namestka built a portal configuration wizard and lead the development of a portal application to enable wireless and voice access to a Sun internal facilities reservation system.

Previously, as a Senior Systems Engineer with Sun, he helped customers and Sun partners in manufacturing, banking and service provisioning to create and implement e-commerce strategies. As a partner advocate, he worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Sun product management to create and launch a sales and marketing campaign centered on Business Process Automation in a JEE environment. As a proof-of-concept, Bob developed a collaborative workspace environment based on Sun's Jini distributed computing technology.

Prior to joining Sun, Bob served as the Chief Technology Officer for the Electronic Information Network (EIN). His role included strategic technology planning and deployment, Internet business planning and deployment along with business process analysis and improvement for the 70 public libraries of Allegheny County. He directed staff in carrying out the EIN mission, and in developing technical projects that enhanced the EIN's capacity to serve its member libraries along with creating alternative revenue opportunities.

A visual thinker, Bob "sees" the solution and is able to "show what's possible" while applying new and emerging technologies quickly. Bob has a knack for "making the hard things easy".

When not "painting with software", Bob enjoys life as a mediocre golfer, smashing his wife's toes in ballroom dance and spending time with friends and family.
