Smart Building-Smart Region

The mission of the Smart Building project is to provide access to advanced services more effectively and efficiently through shared networking infrastructure and in-house technical assistance. Most customers are located in the 31-story Regional Enterprise Tower, home to over 80 civic agencies in downtown Pittsburgh. Our customers are not confined to a single building. Smart Building services are available throughout the region with wireless and fiber optic connections.

Contributors to the Smart Building include DQE Communications, the Pittsburgh Foundation, the Buhl Foundation and the state’s Department of Community and Economic Development.
