Community Resource Guides

3 Rivers Connect is helping the Pittsburgh Schools (www.pps.k12.pa.us) provide information about afterschool programs and family support services in the community for each school in the district. Utilizing information gathered through the Southwestern Pennsylvania Afterschool Resource Collaboration (SPARC) project and the Information Commons, 3rc compiled a Community Resource Guide for each school which includes a map and directories of information. This information will be included in the Welcome Back package the Pittsburgh Schools distributes to the family of each and every student in the district at the beginning of the school year, reaching over 28,000 families in Pittsburgh. The information will also be available online via the Pittsburgh Schools website for each school.

Mayor to Appoint Dr. Dara Ware Allen to School Board #2 Position

Elbie Yaworsky Named New Executive Director of 3 Rivers Connect
Following a three month executive search process, 3 Rivers Connect announced today it has appointed Elbie Yaworsky its new executive director. Yaworsky, acting interim director since April 6th, was selected to lead 3rc, a Pittsburgh based regional nonprofit that empowers communities with informational insight that leads to action.
