SPARC
The ultimate vision of this endeavor is to establish a community-wide initiative to support the delivery of non-school hour services so that every child in need will have access to a quality program. The Southwest Pennsylvania Afterschool Resource Collaboration (SPARC) website offers information about over 1,500 afterschool programs in schools, churches, recreation and community centers throughout SW PA.

Programs offering arts and culture, career and workforce preparation, personal development, educational and academic support, and recreation and fitness are all included. The website is easy to search and includes mapping, directions and public transportation features so you can find the program nearest you.

Classroom Excellence Initiative
3rc is working with the University of Pittsburgh's Partnership for School District Improvement, the Quality Classroom Consortium and OnHand Schools on an innovative two year project that will provide new processes, information resources and tools for teachers, principals and administrators to help improve the academic performance of the children in our region through data driven instruction and decision making.

The Classroom Excellence Initiative seeks to address new accountability metrics associated with No Child Left Behind legislation and the K-12 education reform movement. By utilizing information and technology tools and collaborating to share solutions that leverage best practices, the Classroom Excellence Initiative strives to enable educators decisive agility and make a positive impact on students achievement.
