Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is the emerging IT trend that facilitates the easy input of data using a variety of industry standard formats and transport mechanisms. 3rc has applied cloud computing architecture to its cloud computing solution. For example, data can be received as an Excel spreadsheet attachment from an email to the cloud, entered into an automatically generated web form on your cell phone, or submitted via web service call from another application. In addition, data that is entered is immediately available, in real-time, for query via a simple URL, web form or web service call.

Data sent to the cloud can be shared and stored in a variety of ways. Typically the data is stored in an open XML format and is easily exported and shared by other cloud storage mechanisms.

Cloud computing also provides real-time monitoring and notification of data values within a given dataset. Users or other applications can register interest in a particular dataset attribute and be notified instantly when any modifications are made. Notification can take place in a variety of ways such as email, mobile phone text or web service callback.

Data entered into the cloud is immediately available for visualization using simple web URLs to display a variety of charts and graphs.
